Hello fellow Canadians!

We are Grant and Carmen, a couple of ordinary every day Canadians from

Burlington, Ontario.

We met in the 90s, fell in love, got married, bought a house, had a family, dedicated nearly 30 years in education careers (ESL teachers) and in 2020 found ourselves as empty nesters ready to semi-retire during COVID. 

​

Tired of Canadian winters, the skyrocketing cost of living in Canada, and the COVID lockdowns, we sold our home and threw caution to the wind and bought our first condo in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica. 

​

Playas del Coco ticked all our boxes in doing extensive research to find the perfect location for a small and safe beach town on the Pacific Ocean, with a little bit of night life, lots of great restaurants, all amenities, and centrally located to be less than an hour away from rainforests, volcanoes, national parks, and countless other beaches to explore. 

​

It has been happy days, sand and sun, spectacular views, better health, exciting adventures, and beautiful beaches ever since. Now we want to share our little piece of paradise with family, friends and other Canadians, like you!
